The problem

The whole stack runs through one fault line.

Advanced silicon is fabricated, packaged and tested through a supply chain concentrated in effectively one country, one company and one seismic zone. Every AI system and every bioscience workload built downstream inherits that exposure, whether or not anyone downstream chose it.

The scale of the dependency is easy to miss. On our own tally, the companies whose products rest on that single chain carry on the order of $9 trillion in market value between them, and roughly $110 billion in trade flows through the one foundry each year. A single interruption — an embargo, a disaster, a conflict — would not merely raise prices; it would stall a decade of work with no second source to fall back on.

The dependency is physical, not contractual. It is not solved by a second vendor or a larger cloud commitment, because the thing in short supply is the ground the whole industry stands on.

The whole lifecycle, co-located

Raw materials, power, cooling, process chemicals, design, foundry, datacenter, assembly and shipment are planned as adjacent stages on one site — a twin-fab cluster at advanced and mature nodes at its core — so material never leaves the perimeter and the chain answers to one operator.

Built from replicable villages

The site is composed of copy-exact zones — fab, packaging, datacenter, design, biosimulation, vendor, logistics, power — wrapped in a livable 15-minute city of families and schools, not just facilities. What works in one village is meant to be replicated, not reinvented each time.

Sovereign by construction

Governance, security and a cyber-physical trust chain that runs from firmware through the boot path to the container sit with the jurisdiction that hosts the city — sovereignty engineered in, not promised in a contract.


The first workload

It begins as a lab that sees in the dark.

Taraya starts from a demand, not a building: a sovereign, AI-assisted lab for the life sciences that simulates protein folding at atomic precision and models drug efficacy, long-tail side effects and biochemical interactions in silico — before a molecule is ever made.

Run on a compute grid meant to be deterministic, self-governing and answerable to no foreign fab, that lab aims to de-risk drug pipelines in days rather than decades. It is the workload that made the case for building the whole stack, and it is the city’s first intended anchor tenant.
